TLDR Review: Mutual Industries Snap Coupler 4"
Verdict
The Mutual Industries 17900-0-4 Single Wall Internal Snap Coupler is a secure and simple solution for joining 4" corrugated drain pipes, particularly when dealing with various manufacturers. However, it falls short in providing a watertight seal, potentially requiring additional taping or sealant. If watertight connections are a priority, you might want to consider other alternatives for a more reliable seal.
- Top pro:
- Provides a secure and firm connection for 4" corrugated drain pipes.
- Top con:
- Not completely watertight, which is critical for some applications.

- •Superior adhesion compared to duct tape, holding ends together securely.

Cons
- •Not completely watertight, which is critical for some applications.
- •May require additional sealing, such as with OpticPVC or heavy-duty duct tape, to avoid leaks.
- •Connection can feel slightly loose without reinforcement, leading to dissatisfaction.
- •Design flaws allow water to escape between the drain pipe and the fitting.
- •Deemed ineffective for its intended purpose by some users due to frequent leaks at the joint.
