TLDR Review: Milwaukee 2475-20 Compact Inflator
Verdict
The Milwaukee M12 Compact Inflator 2475-20 is a *great compact tool* for quick tire top-offs on bikes, smaller vehicles, and sports equipment thanks to its accuracy and ease of use. However, don’t expect it to be a powerhouse for large tires—it can struggle with full inflations on trucks, trailers, or heavy-duty tires and demands multiple battery charges for bigger jobs. Also, factor in the additional cost for batteries and charger, plus the hassle of resetting presets each time you power on. If you need something more robust for frequent large tire inflations, considering a heavier-duty inflator with longer battery life would serve you better. For a compact inflator primarily for small-to-medium tires and occasional use, this is a solid pick supported by Milwaukee reliability.
- Top pro:
- Compact and lightweight design makes it easy to handle and store.
- Top con:
- Not powerful enough to fully inflate large tires (cars, trucks, trailers) from empty without multiple battery charges.
Pros
- •Compact and lightweight design makes it easy to handle and store.

- •Convenient preset pressure settings with quick 5 psi and fine 1 psi adjustments.
- •Inflates smaller tires like bicycles and sports balls efficiently and quickly.
- •Handy for topping off tires on cars, trucks, and ATVs when not fully flat.

Cons
- •Not powerful enough to fully inflate large tires (cars, trucks, trailers) from empty without multiple battery charges.
- •Battery life is limited and varies; often requires multiple full charges for bigger tires.
- •Must purchase battery and charger separately, which adds to the overall cost and inconvenience.
- •Preset pressure setting resets every time the unit is turned off, requiring user to reset before each use.
- •Attaching/detaching the inflator causes some air loss, necessitating inflating slightly above target pressure.
- •Some users report inconsistent quality control, including units arriving non-functional.
- •Accuracy of built-in gauge may differ slightly from manual gauges, so aiming for a middle ground is recommended.
- •Overall dissatisfaction by some due to missing essential parts needed to operate.
- •Not ideal for fully inflating large tires or heavy-duty tasks; limits usefulness for truck or trailer owners.
- •Noise is noticeable and may be too loud for some users in close quarters.
