TLDR Review: Milwaukee 2364-20 Flood Light
Verdict
The Milwaukee 2364-20 M12 Rover flood light offers a powerful, compact, and rugged lighting solution perfect for professionals needing reliable, portable illumination in tight and challenging workspaces. Its combination of versatile mounting options, long battery life, and multiple brightness settings make it a great choice for electrical contractors and general tradespeople. However, if you want a flood light with a fully adjustable light angle or a more effective clamp, you might want to consider upgrading to the Milwaukee M18 Rover model. For those committed to the M12 platform looking for solid performance and portability, this is a smart buy.
- Top pro:

- •Versatile hands-free use with a magnetic base, strong magnets for metal surfaces, and a pull-out clamp for non-metal surfaces like 2x4s
- •Comfortable, ergonomic grip handle that balances well in hand
- •Multiple brightness levels (3 or 4 reported) to adjust lighting intensity and reduce glare
- •Long-lasting battery life, especially with a 4.0Ah M12 battery, delivering over 6 hours on medium mode
- •Battery low indicator helps prevent unexpected power loss
- •Compact and lightweight, making it ideal for tight spaces such as crawl spaces and electrical work
- •Provides powerful 1,000 lumen illumination comparable to a 250W flood light
- •Spring clamp is versatile and holds well on a variety of surfaces, including aluminum hoods
- •Efficient battery usage at lower settings, making it good for extended tasks
Cons
- •Clamp design is less effective compared to Milwaukee's M18 Rover model
- •Fixed light angle that doesn’t rotate 360 degrees can limit positioning flexibility

- •Some users might prefer a model with more adjustable light angles (such as the M18 Rover) for added versatility
