TLDR Review: Lucid Adjustable Bed Base
Verdict
The *Lucid Advanced Power Adjustable Bed Base* is a well-built, feature-rich adjustable bed base that offers excellent value with its quiet motors, thoughtful conveniences like USB ports and under-bed lighting, and solid warranty coverage. While a few minor quirks remain—such as the somewhat awkward remote backlighting and massage control—it shines in customer support and comfort enhancement, making it a smart buy for those wanting a versatile, durable base without breaking the bank. If you desire preset zero gravity or more intuitive massage controls, you may want to explore other premium bases, but for most users, this base hits the sweet spot in quality and price.
- Top pro:
- Exceptional 10-year limited warranty that outshines most competitors.
- Top con:
- Remote backlight only activates when pressing buttons, making it tricky to locate controls in total darkness.
Pros

- •High-quality build made in Taiwan, featuring smooth and quiet Okin motors.
- •Backlit 18-button remote with programmable presets, plus app control for Android and iOS.
- •Handy features such as built-in USB ports, under-bed lighting, multi-strength massage modes, and voice control compatibility (Siri now, Alexa soon).
- •Quick and straightforward assembly, generally taking about 10 minutes with two people.
- •Solid and sturdy construction that supports heavier weights without creaks or wobbles.
- •Memory function allows saving a preferred position for easy recall.
- •Compared to similar Sealy systems, offers better features like the ability to pair two twin XL bases with one remote.
- •Significantly improves sleep quality and body comfort, with positive effects on chronic pain and flexibility.
Cons
- •Remote backlight only activates when pressing buttons, making it tricky to locate controls in total darkness.
- •Massage strength adjustment cycles through by repeatedly pressing the same button instead of having a dedicated strength control.
- •Flipping the base during assembly is heavy and best done with 2-3 people to avoid damage or strain.
- •The foot incline mechanism initially may make some noise but tends to improve with use.
- •Lacks a preset zero gravity position, which some users wished for.
- •Under-bed clearance is decent, but wiring might complicate storage underneath.
- •Recommended buying directly from Lucid or Amazon for better support than through other retailers such as Wayfair.
