TLDR Review: Lorell 14341 File Cabinet
Verdict
The Lorell 14341 18 Deep 2-Drawer File Cabinet looks appealing and is easy to move around, but it lacks the essential features for efficient file management. Its half-opening drawers and lack of dividers can be frustrating if you need quick access to your files. For those prioritizing build quality and functionality, there are better alternatives available that offer stability and improved accessibility. Consider purchasing a more robust option if you need a cabinet strictly for filing documents.
- Top pro:
- The cabinet is lightweight and easy to move.
- Top con:
- Poor build quality with plastic handles that lack grooves for secure installation.
Pros
- •The cabinet is lightweight and easy to move.
- •Well-made and visually appealing design.
Cons
- •Poor build quality with plastic handles that lack grooves for secure installation.
- •Screws on handles are difficult to tighten, leading to unstable handles.
- •Drawers do not have dividers, which requires using hanging folders for organization.
- •Drawers only open halfway, limiting access to files stored deep inside.
- •Not suited as a true file cabinet due to limited drawer accessibility.
- •Must avoid placing items on top unless at least one drawer is weighted down to prevent tipping.
- •More suited for general storage of items that can be stacked horizontally rather than filing documents.
