TLDR Review: Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 Mouse
Verdict
The Logitech G PRO X Superlight 2 solidifies itself as a top-tier wireless gaming mouse, especially for esports enthusiasts and professionals craving precision, lightweight design, and excellent battery life. Its combination of the advanced HERO 2 sensor, LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches, and LIGHTSPEED wireless tech delivers high responsiveness and comfort for competitive gameplay without the hassle of cables. While it might not be the absolute lightest mouse available, and some may be bothered by the higher polling rates causing minor stutter, its overall balance of performance and durability is hard to beat. If you want a proven wireless mouse made for pro-level FPS gaming and prefer a fuss-free magenta look, this should be at the top of your wishlist. If you’re curious about alternatives for even lighter options or different ergonomic shapes, feel free to ask — but for most, this is a very strong all-around pick.
- Top pro:
- Exceptionally lightweight at 60g, making it feel like an endgame-level mouse that’s stable and easy to control even in fast gameplay.
- Top con:
- Some users find the mouse could be lighter, as newer ultralight models hover closer to 50g — it’s extremely light but not the absolute lightest in the market.
Pros
- •Exceptionally lightweight at 60g, making it feel like an endgame-level mouse that’s stable and easy to control even in fast gameplay.
- •Compact GPX shape fits hybrid claw and fingertip grips comfortably without forcing awkward hand positions.
- •Crisp, responsive clicks with an improved button feel compared to earlier Logitech models, praised as some of the best click feedback available.
- •USB-C charging is a welcome upgrade over older micro-USB connections, offering faster and more convenient recharging.
- •Long-lasting battery life that can easily support 1.5 to 2 weeks of heavy use, perfect for gamers and professionals alike.
- •The HERO 2 sensor offers precision up to 44k DPI (though reviews mention performance around 32k), delivering excellent responsiveness for FPS gaming and professional use.
- •Software support enables in-depth customization, including DPI adjustments, lift-off distance, and separate X/Y axis DPI settings.
- •Reliable wireless connectivity via LIGHTSPEED technology ensures freedom of movement with minimal lag.
- •The mouse shape and grip coating strike a good balance between smoothness and control, with many users finding it comfortable for medium and even some larger hands.
- •Sturdy build quality and scroll wheel durability have held up well under intense use.
Cons
- •Some users find the mouse could be lighter, as newer ultralight models hover closer to 50g — it’s extremely light but not the absolute lightest in the market.
- •Polling rate performs best at 2kHz, with higher rates like 8kHz reportedly causing input stutter or diminishing returns for some users, which might be a concern for competitive gamers chasing every millisecond.
- •The mouse’s paint/coating can feel slippery for some, pushing users to add aftermarket grips like BT.L for better handling during intense sessions.
- •While comfortable for smaller and medium hands, users with very large hands might find it a bit too compact.
- •No RGB lighting or flashy design features, which some gamers expect in a flagship gaming mouse (though this might be a plus for those who prefer minimalism).
