TLDR Review: LG 83-Inch OLED B5 Series TV (2025)
Verdict
If you're looking for a large 4K OLED TV that delivers superb picture quality, immersive sound with Dolby Atmos, and smart features like Alexa built-in, the LG 83-Inch OLED B5 Series is a strong contender—especially for movie lovers upgrading from older displays. Just be prepared to wrestle with its frustrating remote control and consider extra care in cable management. It’s a fantastic value for a secondary or main TV that doesn’t require all the bells and whistles of ultra-premium models but still shines in delivering beautiful, cinematic visuals. If remote usability is a dealbreaker, you might want to check out other LG OLEDs with more user-friendly remotes or consider universal remotes known to work better.

- •Comes with Alexa built-in for convenient voice control and smart home integration.
Cons
- •The original remote control is widely criticized for its poor design, featuring an overly sensitive pointer that cannot be disabled, causing frustrating navigation issues.

- •Directional arrows on the remote conflict with the pointer function, making menu navigation annoying.
- •HDMI cable ports are prone to loose connections or damage if the TV is moved frequently or wall-mounted without additional cable management solutions.
- •Performs best in low to mid brightness environments; it may struggle or lose impact in very bright rooms due to OLED brightness limits.
