TLDR Review: LG 77" OLED evo G5
Verdict
The 77-inch LG OLED evo AI G5 delivers genuinely impressive picture quality that justifies its premium price tag, especially if upgrading from older display technology—reviewers consistently praise its OLED blacks, color richness, and handling of both premium and legacy content. However, budget for a TV stand separately and prepare for some settings tweaking to maximize performance. If you're an Apple TV user or planning to be one, this TV integrates extremely well with that ecosystem and is likely worth the investment.

- •Minimal blooming artifacts and creates a pseudo-3D effect without special glasses, making older content look noticeably better
- •Paper-thin bezels deliver an almost edge-to-edge screen experience similar to premium plasma displays
- •Supports advanced features like Dolby Vision, CEC/ARC connectivity, and seamless integration with Apple TV and Roku devices

- •Excellent long-term reliability with 5-year warranty and owners reporting zero issues after 7+ years of use

Cons
- •Stand not included—requires separate VESA universal mount purchase for table placement
- •Remote design feels awkward, particularly when holding down power button to change inputs
- •Built-in UI is functional but really shines when paired with Apple TV remote, suggesting limited standalone intuitiveness
- •Requires HDMI 2.1 cables (ideally 8K rated) for optimal performance, adding to setup cost
