TLDR Review: Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip KP303
Verdict
The Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip KP303 is an excellent choice if you want a streamlined, individually controllable surge protector with smart scheduling and voice control, all wrapped into one neat package. It’s especially great for managing multiple devices economically and reducing smart home clutter. However, be prepared for a somewhat fiddly setup requiring 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and router configuration knowledge. If energy monitoring of USB ports or seamless SmartThings integration is a priority, you might want to explore other models or additional smart plugs that better fit those needs. Overall, this power strip delivers solid value and reliable performance inside the Kasa ecosystem.
- Top pro:
- Each of the 3 smart outlets can be controlled independently, allowing precise management of multiple devices on one power strip.
- Top con:
- Setup can be tricky for users unfamiliar with router settings; requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and may struggle with routers that use band steering without separate SSIDs.
