TLDR Review: iPad 11-inch (A16, 256GB, Silver)
Verdict
This iPad strikes a solid balance between performance, portability, and price, making it an excellent choice for everyday users, students, and casual creatives who want reliable power and a vivid display without paying for ultra-premium features. The main trade-offs are limited accessory support and lack of some advanced multitasking and Apple Intelligence features. If you want the latest OS experience with strong all-around specs in an iPad that lasts all day, this model delivers. However, if you need enhanced multitasking, Face ID, or support for the newest Apple Pencil, you might want to explore the iPad Pro lineup instead.

- The A16 chip delivers fast, smooth, and powerful performance for multitasking, gaming, video editing, and everyday use without noticeable lag or significant battery drain.
- Top con:
- Lack of support for Apple Pencil Pro (2nd-gen) limits accessory options and excludes magnetic charging and wireless pairing.
Pros
- •The A16 chip delivers fast, smooth, and powerful performance for multitasking, gaming, video editing, and everyday use without noticeable lag or significant battery drain.
- •The 11-inch Liquid Retina display is bright, vibrant, color-accurate, and crisp, making it excellent for media consumption, drawing, and photo editing.
- •Battery life lasts all day—about 10 to 11+ hours of continuous use—ideal for students, professionals, and on-the-go users.
- •Comes with a generous 256GB of storage, doubling the previous base option, providing ample space for apps, media, and files.
- •Lightweight and sleek design (just over one pound), with premium build quality that’s comfortable to carry around.
- •USB-C charging and connectivity add versatility and faster data transfer with accessories.
- •12MP front camera with Center Stage offers great video call functionality, thanks to the right-edge placement that enhances framing.
- •Touch ID integrated into the power button ensures quick and secure unlocking without Face ID.
- •Compatible with Magic Keyboard Folio and Apple Pencil USB-C, providing useful accessory support for productivity and creativity.
- •Runs iPadOS 18 smoothly with well-optimized apps and enhanced features for a near-desktop experience.
Cons
- •Lack of support for Apple Pencil Pro (2nd-gen) limits accessory options and excludes magnetic charging and wireless pairing.
- •No Apple Intelligence support, which means missing out on some advanced AI-powered system features available on higher-end iPads.
- •Stage Manager external display support is missing, limiting multitasking capabilities especially when connecting to external monitors.
- •The RAM capacity of 6GB might feel insufficient for future-proofing or heavy multitasking by 2025 standards.
- •Some users report minor color distortion on the display under certain light pressure and find the glossy screen finish prone to reflections in bright environments.
- •Camera system is functional for video calls and casual photos but isn’t suitable for serious photography or detailed image capture.
- •Integrated Touch ID in the power button can be less convenient compared to Face ID for some users who prefer facial recognition.
- •Improvements over the previous generation are mostly incremental, confined to the processor, extra RAM, and storage, with few design or feature innovations.
