TLDR Review: Instant Pot Air Fryer Toaster Oven
Verdict
The Instant Pot 6-Slice InstantHeat 10-in-1 Air Fryer Toaster Oven is a powerful multi-function appliance that truly replaces several kitchen gadgets, offering great crispiness, quick heating, and a roomy interior. However, its larger-than-expected footprint and occasional design annoyances like the side handle and noisy operation are worth considering before buying. If you need a versatile all-in-one and can accommodate its size on your counter, this is a solid choice. Otherwise, keep an eye out for models with a more compact design or user-friendlier handle placement to better suit your space and comfort.
- Top pro:
- Air fry function delivers evenly cooked, crispy chicken, veggies, and frozen appetizers with minimal oil.
- Top con:
- The unit is noisier than expected during operation, which might be distracting in quieter kitchens.
Pros
- •Air fry function delivers evenly cooked, crispy chicken, veggies, and frozen appetizers with minimal oil.
- •Toasts bagels to perfection—crispy on the outside and soft inside, with enough room for multiple bagels at once.
- •Reheats leftovers much better than a microwave, preserving texture and flavor.
- •Minimal preheat time, speeding up cooking overall compared to traditional ovens.
- •Controls are simple, intuitive, and easy to use, making cooking straightforward.
- •Surprisingly spacious interior for a 6-slice toaster oven, accommodating a variety of foods including frozen pizza.
- •Combines 10 functions—air fry, roast, bake, sear crisp, toast, bagel, broil, dehydrate, reheat, and make pizza—saving counter space by replacing several appliances.
- •Heats quickly and cooks food evenly, enhancing meal prep efficiency.
- •Easy to clean, which is always a win in the kitchen.
- •Modern upgrade from older toaster ovens, bringing versatility to both breakfast and dinner routines.
Cons
- •The unit is noisier than expected during operation, which might be distracting in quieter kitchens.
- •At nearly 20 inches wide (not 15 as described), it requires more counter space than some buyers anticipate.
- •Handle placement on the side makes opening the door awkward unless standing directly in front; a centered handle would be easier to use.
- •The door can close unintentionally when reaching inside if it's not opened fully.
- •Some users find the overall design inconvenient and not as thoughtfully laid out as they hoped.
- •Customer service has been reported as unhelpful and unsatisfactory, which may be frustrating if issues arise.
