TLDR Review: Insignia 17 Cu. Ft. Convertible Freezer
Verdict
The **Insignia™ 17 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Convertible Upright Freezer** is a spacious, quiet, and energy-efficient unit that shines in general household use with versatile fridge/freezer modes and easy organization. However, if you need ultra-precise temperature control for sensitive freezing (like breastmilk storage) or expect quick, reliable customer support, this may not be your best bet. Consider your priority between capacity and flawless freezing performance before buying. If stronger technical support or guaranteed low-temp stability is critical, you might want to explore other models designed specifically for medical or ultra-low freezing needs.
- Top pro:

- •Manufacturer’s customer service is reportedly unresponsive and unhelpful, especially regarding technical support or troubleshooting.
- •Control panel instructions and manual diagrams do not always match, causing confusion for first-time users.
- •Advertised feature to change door swing direction does not work as promised.
- •Some units may not reach the advertised lowest temperature settings, limiting freezer performance for specific needs.
- •Technical support tends to offer replacements rather than resolving issues directly, which can prolong user frustration.
