Verdict
The Hisense 55-Inch Class U7 Series offers excellent picture and sound quality with advanced features, making it a strong competitor against more expensive brands. Despite some minor technical hiccups and the unwieldy remote control, users have found satisfaction in its performance and value. Keep an eye on the class action situation if it concerns you, and consider another model if USB support beyond 128 GB or exFAT compatibility is crucial. Overall, it's a solid choice for those looking for high-end functionality at a more affordable price point.
- Top pro:
- Excellent picture quality with impressive brightness and sound, comparable to higher-end brands like Samsung.
- Top con:
- Occasional difficulty turning on, which was only remedied by USB drive removal.

However, it faces criticism for limited viewing angles and some shadow detail issues, which customers have noticed.
