TLDR Review: Halo Collar 4
Verdict
The Halo Collar 4 offers a robust GPS-based boundary system with effective training features, especially suited for larger or well-behaved dogs on open properties. However, its hardware durability, signal reliability in certain environments, and app responsiveness are notable drawbacks. If you have a smaller dog or need a highly reliable system in wooded or obstructed areas, you might want to explore other options, perhaps from brands with more durable hardware and consistent signal performance.
- Top pro:
- Maintains a strong battery charge for over 24 hours, supporting reliable tracking and communication.
- Top con:
- Hardware can be flimsy; screws and rivets often loosen or fall out, requiring extra securing with thread locking compounds.

- •The proprietary charger often fails within a few months, leaving the collar unusable until replaced.
