TLDR Review: Gerber Mullet Multi-Tool
Verdict
The Gerber Mullet Keychain Multi-Tool is a solid, no-frills everyday carry option that excels in durability and convenience. It’s ideal if you want a reliable, compact tool for small jobs and a secure clip for your keys. However, if you need a multi-tool with a Phillips screwdriver large enough for common household use or a softer keyring fit, you might want to explore other options. For those looking primarily for a secure, sturdy multi-tool that won’t weigh you down, this one fits the bill nicely.
- Top pro:
- Simple and practical design makes it perfect for everyday carry and go kits.
- Top con:
- The Phillips screwdriver is smaller than expected, better suited for eyeglass screws rather than typical household screws like door handles, limiting its versatility.

- •The tool’s design can poke or cause discomfort when carried on a keyring in a pocket.
- •Some find it better suited to be kept in a fixed place (like a truck) rather than on a daily keyring.
- •The open design allows quick access but can sometimes cause the tool to come off unintentionally.
