TLDR Review: Garden Treasures Nczh-g-kmzmss
Verdict
The Garden Treasures Nczh-g-kmzmss offers powerful and attractive propane heating with handy mobility and user-friendly features at a moderate price. However, the risk of permanent staining to wooden decks and reported quality inconsistencies with ignition and durability are considerable downsides if you have wood surfaces or expect long-term reliable use. If deck staining is a concern, you might want to consider options with better base material protection or dedicated wood-safe designs. For a similarly priced alternative with fewer staining issues and durable operation, exploring other high-rated propane patio heaters could be worthwhile before committing.
- Top pro:
- Provides strong, effective heat output (48,000 BTU), enough to comfortably warm outdoor spaces around 55°F and protect plants from freezing.
- Top con:
- The base of the heater stains wooden decks with vivid black rings that worsen over time and are difficult to clean off, posing a significant risk to wood surfaces.
Pros
- •Provides strong, effective heat output (48,000 BTU), enough to comfortably warm outdoor spaces around 55°F and protect plants from freezing.
- •Stainless steel construction looks attractive and suggests durable, long-term use potential.
- •Assembly is generally straightforward with clear instructions, well-organized hardware, and all necessary parts included; typically takes about 15 minutes once familiar.
- •Easy ignition with reliable, consistent flame after initial setup issues are resolved.
- •Convenient features include built-in wheels for mobility, accessible dual gas control ports, an interior strap to secure the propane tank, and a latched door for quick propane changes.

- •The propane hose length is adequate for safe use, though some users mention the connector could be improved.
Cons
- •The base of the heater stains wooden decks with vivid black rings that worsen over time and are difficult to clean off, posing a significant risk to wood surfaces.
- •Removal of the protective plastic film from stainless steel parts is time-consuming and annoying, lacking helpful pull-tabs.
- •Some units experience quality consistency issues, such as ignitor malfunction where holding down the control is necessary to keep the flame lit.
- •Assembly challenges arise partly from the protective film and occasional variations between units, causing minor frustration.
- •The propane connector design could be improved for easier use (e.g., a 90-degree fitting).
- •Lamps stopped working on some units after less than two years, indicating poor durability for some users.
- •Cleaning stains caused by the heater can require special effort and may not restore wood decking surfaces fully.
- •Customer service replacement parts may take over a week, impacting quick fixes.
- •Using the heater on low continuously consumes propane relatively fast (about one tank every two nights).
