TLDR Review: Fitt Water Hose 100 ft
Verdict
The Fitt 5/8 in. Dia. x 100 ft. Heavy-Duty Commercial Grade Water Hose looks and feels tough but unfortunately falls short in key performance areas like kink resistance, durability, and reliable flow. It may work if you need a lightweight hose for very light or occasional use, but we do *not* recommend it if you want a dependable, long-lasting garden or commercial hose. The high price tag does not seem justified given the common issues with leaks and fittings. For a more reliable heavy-duty hose experience, you might want to consider other brands known for kink resistance and durability.
- Top pro:
- Made from durable, professional-grade flat rubber material, giving it a heavy-duty feel.
- Top con:
- Kinks very easily and frequently, often requiring manual effort to untangle and undo kinks during use.
Pros
- •Made from durable, professional-grade flat rubber material, giving it a heavy-duty feel.
- •Lightweight and compact, which some find convenient for occasional, light-duty tasks like filling an RV tank.
- •Solid build quality with an easy installation process.
- •Repairable ends allow some maintenance if fittings fail.
- •Customer support has been responsive and helpful according to some users.
Cons
- •Kinks very easily and frequently, often requiring manual effort to untangle and undo kinks during use.
- •The hose tangles and twists immediately, making it difficult and frustrating to manage.
- •Water flow tends to pulsate and become inconsistent when the hose bends.
- •Fittings are unreliable and may disconnect or leak after minimal use, with some unable to be reattached.
- •Develops leaks and pinhole holes quickly, sometimes within about 30 days of regular use.
- •Not durable enough for farming or regular heavy-duty watering; hoses have failed before a full season in some cases.
- •Performance is poor compared to other garden hoses, disappointing many buyers given the high price.
- •Unsuitable for everyday garden or yard use, essentially reducing to a low-pressure soaker hose once damaged.
