TLDR Review: Fiskars Cultivator
Verdict
The Fiskars Composite Cultivator is a handy, rust-proof, and lightweight tool perfect for light to moderate gardening tasks, worm farming, and small animal care, especially if you prefer an easy-to-handle, non-metal option. However, if you’re after a tool for heavy-duty, rugged soil work, you might find its durability limited. Just be prepared for a frustrating sticker removal experience out of the box. If you want a similar tool with metal durability, exploring other Fiskars garden tools could be worthwhile.
- Top pro:
- Made from composite material that resists rust and rot, making it long-lasting and easy to clean.
- Top con:
- Large orange stickers on the handle are very difficult to remove and leave a sticky residue that resists cleaning.
Pros
- •Made from composite material that resists rust and rot, making it long-lasting and easy to clean.
- •Extremely strong and durable tines that withstand hard soil and clay-laden dirt without bending or breaking.
- •Lightweight design offers excellent handling ease without sacrificing strength, making it ideal even for children.
- •Non-metallic claws are well-suited for delicate tasks like worm farming and small animal care.
- •Consistently high quality and reliability aligned with Fiskars’ reputation.
- •Performs effectively right out of the package with no setup needed.
- •Safe edges that aren’t too sharp, which is a plus for kids or gentle gardening use.

Cons
- •Large orange stickers on the handle are very difficult to remove and leave a sticky residue that resists cleaning.
- •May not hold up well in heavy or rough gardening conditions due to composite material limitations.
