TLDR Review: eufy Security S380 HomeBase
Verdict
The eufy Security S380 HomeBase (HomeBase 3) offers a solid, no-monthly-fee local storage solution with strong encryption and decent AI to cut down on false alerts. It’s a reliable hub if you’re already invested in the eufy ecosystem and want centralized management of wired and battery cameras via app. However, be ready to deal with Ethernet-only connectivity limiting where you can place the HomeBase and some underwhelming AI functions on outdoor cams that cause delayed recordings and missed events. If you want more flexibility or advanced AI for outdoor cameras, keep an eye on eufy for updates or consider waiting for future improvements in their lineup. For now, this product is best for users who prioritize local storage and security over wireless convenience and flawless AI performance.
- Top pro:

- •The system can be confusing when managing playback between video stored on the HomeBase vs. the camera’s SD card, with unclear switching and functionality.
