TLDR Review: EGO Power+ LM2110 Lawn Mower
Verdict
The EGO Power+ LM2110 21-Inch cordless mower is a lightweight, easy-start, low-maintenance option that performs well on smaller yards with regularly maintained grass. However, beware of its tendency to stall on thicker grass and known wiring issues—especially around the folding handle. If your priority is quiet, gas-free mowing with the convenience of cordless power and you already own compatible EGO batteries, this mower is a solid pick. But if you need something more robust for thick or long grass without wiring concerns, consider exploring other models or brands. We recommend reviewing battery options separately since this mower doesn't include one, which adds to the cost.
- Top pro:
- Starts easily with the push of a button, making it accessible for users of all heights.
- Top con:
- Struggles to cut thicker or taller grass (around 1/2 inch or more) without stalling frequently—users report cutting only about every 6 feet before needing to restart.
Pros
- •Starts easily with the push of a button, making it accessible for users of all heights.
- •Battery life is generally solid, lasting long enough for at least one to two mowings of a small to moderate yard.
- •Requires minimal maintenance compared to gas-powered mowers, saving you time and hassle.
- •Offers a convenient and quieter alternative to traditional gas mowers without the mess of fuel.
- •Significantly lighter and easier to maneuver than gas mowers, reducing physical effort during use.
- •Folding handle design aids in storage, though some users prefer not to fold frequently.
- •Self-propel function works well and may be more of a bonus since pushing is already effortless.
- •The blade cuts efficiently when grass is maintained at a reasonable length and works well on leaves due to the uplift blade.
- •Known for being dependable and durable, often lasting several years with proper care.
- •Comes from a reputable brand with a good track record for quality outdoor power equipment.
Cons
- •Struggles to cut thicker or taller grass (around 1/2 inch or more) without stalling frequently—users report cutting only about every 6 feet before needing to restart.
- •Electrical wiring issues are a significant concern; several users experienced failures after a few years, often related to wiring damage especially around the folding handle area.
- •Folding the handle can lead to damaged wiring and reduced mower usability, prompting some to avoid folding whenever possible.
- •The self-propel mechanism may occasionally lock the wheels when pulling backward, which requires a workaround by moving forward first.
- •Battery and charger are not included, so the total initial investment is higher if you don’t already own compatible EGO Power+ batteries.
- •Some users had to replace their mower or parts after only a few years due to wiring or electrical failures.
