TLDR Review: EGO Power+ LB8803-2 Leaf Blower
Verdict
The EGO Power+ LB8803-2 is a top-tier battery-powered handheld blower that packs gas-blower-level power with the convenience of cordless operation, making it a terrific choice for those who want strong performance without the noise, fumes, or maintenance of gas. It shines for homeowners with medium-sized yards, detailing enthusiasts, and users needing versatility beyond just leaf blowing. However, if you expect to work for long durations at full power, be prepared to manage battery swapping or consider investing in additional higher-capacity batteries or a rapid charger. Also, double-check your local voltage to avoid charger issues. For those weighing weight concerns or requiring lighter tools, looking into other EGO models with smaller batteries might be worthwhile.
- Top pro:
- Impressively powerful for a battery-powered blower, delivering up to 880 CFM and 200 MPH, comparable to professional gas blowers without the fuel hassle.
- Top con:
- The blower’s heavy battery can cause balance issues and wrist fatigue during prolonged use, especially for users not accustomed to heavier handheld tools.
