TLDR Review: EGO POWER+ LB6703 Leaf Blower
Verdict
If you're a homeowner looking for a *powerful, quiet, and easy-to-use cordless leaf blower* that handles wet and stubborn debris well, the EGO POWER+ LB6703 with its 56V 4.0Ah battery is a strong contender. It strikes a good balance between performance, runtime, and convenience, especially with its adjustable speed settings and quick recharge capability. However, if you need longer runtime or lighter weight for professional use, consider budgeting for extra batteries or a shoulder strap to mitigate fatigue. _For those seeking heavier-duty or longer commercial use, exploring gas-powered models or additional batteries might be worthwhile._
- Top pro:
- Powerful enough to easily blow through thick, wet leaves, sticks, and grass with airspeeds up to 180 MPH and up to 670 CFM, including a turbo mode for heavy debris.
- Top con:
- Battery life can fall short under heavy continuous use, often around 15-45 minutes on high speed, so having a second battery handy is strongly recommended.
Pros
- •Powerful enough to easily blow through thick, wet leaves, sticks, and grass with airspeeds up to 180 MPH and up to 670 CFM, including a turbo mode for heavy debris.
- •Offers variable speed control and a cruise control dial for user-friendly, precise airflow adjustments.
- •Long runtime of up to 80 minutes per charge with the included 56V 4.0Ah battery, suitable for medium to large yards.
- •Battery charges relatively quickly (around 30 minutes) and is compatible with other EGO POWER+ tools, making battery swapping and extended use convenient.
- •Lightweight and ergonomically designed, which enhances comfort during use, even for users with less wrist strength.
- •Quiet operation compared to gas blowers, reducing noise pollution and making yard work more pleasant.
- •Durable build with weather-resistant (IPX4) construction, allowing use in light rain or damp conditions.
- •Includes two nozzle types (tapered and spread) to handle different debris clearing scenarios effectively.
- •Practical features such as a hooking point for an optional shoulder strap to help manage weight during longer jobs.
- •Considered a great value for homeowners wanting powerful cordless performance without the hassle of gas.
Cons
- •Battery life can fall short under heavy continuous use, often around 15-45 minutes on high speed, so having a second battery handy is strongly recommended.
- •Some users find the blower heavier than expected, and prolonged use can cause fatigue without a shoulder strap (sold separately).
- •Runtime claims sometimes feel optimistic; actual battery duration depends heavily on power settings and workload.
- •Charging from fully drained to full can take 3–4 hours, which might slow down workflow if you don't have spare batteries.
- •Not ideal for professional or all-day heavy-duty use—best suited for typical homeowner needs and moderate yardwork.
- •Long-term battery life and durability remain unknown, as some users note uncertainty about performance after years of regular use.
- •While powerful, it might not replace gas blowers for users needing extreme push force and runtime for commercial-scale tasks.
