TLDR Review: DJI Osmo Action 4
Verdict
The DJI Osmo Action 4 Essential Combo packs serious power with its stunning 4K/120fps video, excellent low-light performance, and rugged, waterproof design — perfect for serious adventure shooters and vloggers who want versatility and durability. Just be mindful of its tendency to overheat during long shooting sessions and the added cost of a lens protector. If overheating is a major concern, or you want a slightly lighter option, you might want to compare with other high-end action cameras, but for pure video quality and stabilization at this price, the Osmo Action 4 stands out as a top contender.
- Top pro:
- Captures stunning 4K video at 120fps with exceptional detail thanks to a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and 10-bit color depth for vibrant, richly detailed footage.
- Top con:
- Overheating during extended recording sessions (typically 20-40 minutes) in moderate temperatures is a notable drawback, causing the camera to stop recording temporarily.
