TLDR Review: DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo
Verdict
The DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo is an excellent choice for enthusiasts and semi-professionals who want a powerful, versatile drone with high-quality dual cameras and extended flight capabilities. Its balance of portability, professional-grade video/photo quality, and intuitive controls make it well worth considering if you’re serious about aerial photography or videography. Just be prepared to invest in accessories like a hard case and fast charger to get the most out of your experience. If you want a simpler fly setup without the "more combo" extras, this model is still solid but expect a less convenient user experience overall. If you're seeking a drone with similar advanced features and want additional insights before committing, we recommend reviewing other DJI options or waiting for deals on this bundle.
- Top pro:
- Includes a generous bundle of accessories like a gimbal guard, 10 pairs of spare props, 3 lens filters in a hard case, and a charging dock, making it a ready-to-fly package.
- Top con:
- The included carrying case fits all components but is a tight squeeze and offers limited protection; users are advised to invest in a hard case for better durability.
Pros
- •Includes a generous bundle of accessories like a gimbal guard, 10 pairs of spare props, 3 lens filters in a hard case, and a charging dock, making it a ready-to-fly package.
- •Comes with the RC 2 screen remote controller, which functions much like a built-in tablet, enhancing the user experience.
- •Offers dual cameras: 1" CMOS wide-angle and medium telephoto lenses with a 70mm equivalent, delivering amazing photos up to nearly 50-megapixels and versatile shooting options.
- •Produces outstanding 4K/60fps video quality with impressive clarity and near-professional-level imaging.
- •Extended flight time supported by 3 included batteries, and the drone is notably fast and agile for a thrilling flying experience.
- •Features omnidirectional sensing for superior flight stability and obstacle avoidance, which adds safety and confidence during flight.
- •Includes a helpful built-in simulator and integrated tutorials on the controller, making it ideal for both beginners wanting to learn and experienced users.
- •Well built and durable with a design balancing portability and performance — compact enough for backpack transport but larger than mini drones.
- •Excellent range for extended flying distances, suitable for semi-professional and advanced users seeking quality video and photographic content.
- •Seen as one of the best drones available in its price range with a reputable manufacturer backing it, supported by responsive seller service.
Cons
- •The included carrying case fits all components but is a tight squeeze and offers limited protection; users are advised to invest in a hard case for better durability.
- •Batteries come at about 50% charge out of the box, and faster charging requires purchasing a 65W or 100W power adapter separately.
- •Requires a signature upon delivery with no option to modify shipping restrictions, which may complicate receiving if you are frequently unavailable.
- •Screen protectors for the RC 2 remote and lens filters are not included but highly recommended to prevent scratches and damage.
- •Larger than mini drones, so while portable, it’s not the best option if ultra-compact size is a priority.
- •Some users might find the price on the higher end; however, the Fly More Combo offers better value and usability vs. the base model.
