TLDR Review: Diablo DXT1010 Extension
Verdict
The Diablo DXT1010 1/4 in. x 6 in. Universal Extension is a mixed bag. While it's widely appreciated for its durable build, secure bit grip, and convenient bit insertion and removal, it suffers from unreliable locking mechanisms and longevity issues, with some reports of frequent breakage. If you're looking for a robust hex bit extension for lightweight tasks, this might work well, but for more demanding uses, you might want to be cautious.
- Top pro:
- The 6" hex bit extension is highly durable and has been proven over three years of use.
- Top con:
- The locking mechanism stopped functioning properly after limited use, making bit retrieval difficult.
