TLDR Review: Denon AVR-S570BT Receiver
Verdict
The Denon AVR-S570BT delivers excellent sound quality, solid power, and easy setup with modern 8K HDMI inputs and Bluetooth streaming, making it a strong choice for those seeking an affordable and reliable 5.2 channel AV receiver focused on core home theater needs without unnecessary complications. If you want more advanced multi-zone support or a fully wireless HEOS streaming experience, you might want to explore higher-end Denon models or competitors, but for straightforward performance and good value, this receiver is a dependable pick.
- Top pro:
- Excellent sound quality with clear, powerful audio output that outperforms some previous models like Onkyo and Pioneer.
- Top con:
- The Bluetooth transmitter cannot stream HEOS sources to wireless headsets, limiting Bluetooth’s full streaming potential.

- •Setup is fairly intuitive with an HD Setup Assistant, automatic speaker calibration, and options for manual adjustments.
- •Runs cooler than many comparable receivers, which helps with reliability and longevity.
- •Supports 8K Ultra HD audio and video, with (4) 8K HDMI inputs and enhanced gaming features, making it future-proof for most home theater setups.
- •Bluetooth streaming works well, especially with Samsung Galaxy smartphones, providing wireless convenience.

Cons
- •The Bluetooth transmitter cannot stream HEOS sources to wireless headsets, limiting Bluetooth’s full streaming potential.
- •HEOS and remote apps are functional but not very advanced, sometimes showing lag or connection issues with Spotify and AirPlay.
- •True 7.2 channel output cannot be used simultaneously with powered Zone 2; enabling Zone 2 reduces the system to 5.2 channels.
- •The remote lacks a programmable TV power button, so you might need an additional remote for full TV control.
- •The product image can be misleading; for example, it shows a coaxial digital input that the actual unit does not have, which may cause confusion.
- •Some users have reported device issues like failing to power on, though this appears to be rare.
- •Missing some higher-end audio features such as Dolby Atmos height channels beyond 5.1.2 setups, limiting surround sound expansion options.
- •While the receiver supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, the advanced room calibration and multi-zone features are somewhat limited compared to pricier models.
