TLDR Review: Dell OptiPlex 5060 Desktop Computer
Verdict
If you want a fast, energy-efficient desktop with solid performance for everyday home or office use, this Dell OptiPlex 5060 with Windows 11 ticks a lot of boxes—especially given its powerful 6-core CPU and dual storage. However, if you’re after a better display experience or plan to game or do graphic-intensive work, you might want to consider another setup or upgrade your monitor separately. Overall, this renewed PC offers great value for its specs and reliable customer support, making it ideal for users prioritizing performance and efficiency over flashy features.
- Top pro:
- Boots up very quickly, typically around 15 seconds, so no waiting around.
- Top con:
- Limited motherboard connections restrict storage expansions to just one hard drive plus the M.2 SSD.

- •Comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro, fully activated and stable after updates, including version 25H2.
- •Equipped with a fast M.2 Samsung SSD (OEM Dell) for the OS plus a 1TB 2.5-inch HDD, with easy upgrade options up to 8TB without tools.

- •Network options covered with both WiFi and wired Ethernet support.
- •Speakers deliver surprisingly good sound quality, though their look differs from advertised photos.
- •Customer support is responsive and helpful, especially during setup and inquiries.
Cons
- •Limited motherboard connections restrict storage expansions to just one hard drive plus the M.2 SSD.
- •No dedicated GPU, so this is not the rig for gaming or graphics-heavy workloads.
- •Monitor features a glossy screen causing distracting reflections and has limited viewing angles; also, adjustment controls are awkwardly placed.
- •Mouse lacks a physical DPI button and side buttons despite the description, and LED lights on mouse and speakers cannot be disabled during sleep mode.
- •Initial setup can present power supply issues if multiple USB devices and peripherals are connected all at once.
- •Monitor is basic and functional but may disappoint users looking for higher-end display quality or ergonomics.
