TLDR Review: Cottonelle Flushable Wipes
Verdict
If you want flushable wipes that feel soft and smell pleasant but don’t mind having to use a few per use due to tearing, Cottonelle Flushable Wet Wipes fit the bill. However, beware: these wipes often shred easily, require multiple sheets for effective cleaning, and can cause major plumbing headaches despite the "flushable" label. If plumbing safety and wipe durability are your priorities, you might want to explore other brands or solutions, as these wipes have noticeably declined in quality and reliability.
- Top pro:
- The wipes have a pleasant, gentle scent that is not overpowering.
- Top con:
- Wipes tend to tear easily during use, often ripping through the middle even with careful handling.
Pros
- •The wipes have a pleasant, gentle scent that is not overpowering.
- •Texture is smooth and suitable for sensitive skin, causing minimal irritation.
- •Effectively contribute to cleanliness as part of a consistent routine.
- •The product remains a recognizable brand and convenient for on-the-go use.
Cons
- •Wipes tend to tear easily during use, often ripping through the middle even with careful handling.
- •Multiple wipes are usually needed to complete cleaning, as single sheets are flimsy and break apart.
- •The wipes have become noticeably thinner and overly wet, making them prone to disintegration and difficult to manage.
- •Children especially struggle to pull out intact wipes, which fall apart immediately.
- •The package can make it difficult to pull out single wipes, requiring extra effort and multiple sheets for grip.
- •Despite being labeled "flushable," these wipes do not break down well and can cause serious plumbing blockages lasting weeks, leading to costly repairs.
- •Users report less confidence in the product’s cleaning effectiveness due to shredding and flimsiness.
- •Compared to previous flushable wipes (such as Member’s Mark), these are seen as significantly lower in quality.
