TLDR Review: Comfort Zone CZ260ER Heater
Verdict
The Comfort Zone CZ260ER is a robust and effective industrial ceiling heater that excels in heating medium to large garage or workshop spaces. It combines powerful heat output, a useful digital thermostat, and remote control convenience, all wrapped up in a space-saving ceiling mount. If you want reliable warmth without fancy smart features like WiFi, this one’s a solid pick. However, if you’re looking for a thermostat with finer control or stronger airflow, you might want to consider pairing it with additional fans or checking out similarly powered heaters with more advanced climate control.
- Top pro:
- Heats large garages and workshop spaces efficiently, with good coverage for areas around 12 x 25 ft and up to 500 sq ft.
- Top con:
- Thermostat control may lack sensitivity, occasionally leading to temperature fluctuations rather than a steady maintenance of set heat.
Pros
- •Heats large garages and workshop spaces efficiently, with good coverage for areas around 12 x 25 ft and up to 500 sq ft.

- •Digital thermostat offers precise temperature control along with a convenient 12-hour timer for easy operation.
- •Remote control adds convenience by allowing adjustments without leaving your work area or ladder.
- •Ceiling-mounted design smartly saves floor space and contributes to an organized, modern workspace.
- •Overheat protection enhances safety, especially important in industrial or flammable environments.
- •Well-built and durable, built to function as a serious heating tool rather than a light-duty gadget.
- •Easy to install securely with the right hardware following instructions; works well when paired with proper wiring like a quality dryer plug and 10-gauge wire.
- •Mild operational fan noise noted but generally unobtrusive in garages or workshops.
- •Highly reliable and recommended by users for effective garage heating.
Cons
- •Thermostat control may lack sensitivity, occasionally leading to temperature fluctuations rather than a steady maintenance of set heat.
- •Ground attachment design during installation could be improved for easier handling, requiring some extra care and tools.
- •Fan blade adjustment options are limited, which means air movement could potentially be stronger for even better heat distribution.
- •WiFi connectivity is absent, which could limit convenience compared to more modern smart heaters.
- •Some users recommend using an additional ceiling fan to help distribute heat more evenly, indicating the built-in fan could be more powerful.
