TLDR Review: Coleman 100QT Cooler
Verdict
The Coleman 316 Cooler 100QT is a spacious, highly durable cooler with excellent insulation that keeps ice frozen for days, making it a top choice for large outdoor events or long camping trips. Its sturdy wheels and UV-Guard finish further add to its outdoor resilience. However, keep in mind that it’s quite heavy when full and performance can vary depending on sunlight exposure. If you need a huge, reliable cooler that’ll hold up in the sun and last through long days, this is a solid pick. For easier portability or a more compact option, you might want to explore smaller models or those with enhanced lid seals.
- Top pro:
- Large 100QT capacity easily holds plenty of food, drinks, and ice packs, perfect for big outdoor gatherings or long trips
- Top con:
- The lid seal design may cause ice to melt faster than expected, resulting in shorter ice retention in some cases

- •Solid and durable build quality with secure latches and a sturdy lid, designed to last through tough outdoor conditions

Cons
- •The lid seal design may cause ice to melt faster than expected, resulting in shorter ice retention in some cases
- •Can be quite heavy when full, making transport a bit strenuous despite the wheels and handles
- •Performance depends heavily on keeping it out of direct sunlight; in full sun, ice may not last as long as in shaded conditions
- •Slightly bulky size might be inconvenient for smaller storage spaces or for carrying over shorter distances without the wheels
- •No significant negative reviews, but its weight and size could be a concern for users with limited mobility or storage options
