TLDR Review: Cascade Platinum Dishwasher Pods
Verdict
Cascade Platinum Actionpacs have earned their reputation for a reason - they deliver sparkling results without demanding a pre-rinse from you, and they're refreshingly simple to use. What really sets them apart is the light, fresh scent that won't linger on your dishes (unlike their stronger "plus" sibling), making them ideal if you're sensitive to strong detergent smells. We've noted that the formula recently changed and some batches have been reported as stale, so you might want to check your pods when they arrive - but if you get a fresh batch, you've got a long-term winner that reviewers consistently swear by.
- Top pro:
- No pre-rinsing required - saves you time and water every load
- Top con:
- Some batches are stale or hardened rather than fresh
Pros
- •No pre-rinsing required - saves you time and water every load
- •Easy to use, just toss in a pod
- •Leaves dishes sparkling clean and thoroughly cleaned
- •Powers through burnt-on and heavily soiled food in one wash
- •Keeps glasses crystal clear and effectively removes stainless steel residue
- •Fresh, light scent that won't overpower your dishes - a major win compared to the stronger "plus" version
- •Proven formula trusted by loyal users for 4+ years
- •Consistently ranked as the best dishwasher pods on the market
Cons
- •Some batches are stale or hardened rather than fresh
