TLDR Review: Bose QuietComfort Earbuds - Petal Pink
Verdict
The Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Earbuds in Petal Pink deliver exceptional noise cancellation and sound quality in a comfortable, secure fit that’s ideal for all-day use. If you want premium ANC with a balanced sound profile and strong mic performance, these are an excellent choice—particularly if you prefer a soft silicone tip over Apple's AirPods Pro. However, the bulkier charging case and occasional Bluetooth switching quirks might frustrate some users. If you want something with potentially better battery life or a more pocket-friendly case, you might want to watch for deals on other premium earbuds, but overall, these stand out as a strong contender in the true wireless ANC category.
- Top pro:
- Impressively effective active noise cancellation, comparable to the older Sony WH-XM3 and on par with AirPods Pro when using the original silicone tips, especially great at silencing higher-frequency sounds and voices.
- Top con:
- The charging case feels less durable and bulkier compared to previous models like Pixel Buds, which may affect pocketability.
Pros
- •Impressively effective active noise cancellation, comparable to the older Sony WH-XM3 and on par with AirPods Pro when using the original silicone tips, especially great at silencing higher-frequency sounds and voices.
- •Clear, balanced sound quality with enhanced mids and louder volume potential; bass is a bit bloated but adjustable through a 5-band equalizer in the companion app.
- •Stable and quick Bluetooth connectivity with no interruptions, even during running or active use.
- •Extremely comfortable, secure fit that stays in place all day without causing discomfort.
- •The silicone ear tips are notably more comfortable than those of Apple AirPods Pro, making extended wear easier.
- •Good microphone quality with no reports of call clarity issues, supporting smooth phone conversations.
- •Battery life is strong and reliable, offering up to 8.5 hours of playtime per charge.
- •Companion app enhances usability with easy firmware updates, customizable EQ settings, and device naming.
- •Voice command features work well, including hands-free actions like taking photos on an iPhone.
- •Charging case is lightweight and supports wireless charging, though it’s larger and thicker than some other models.
Cons
- •The charging case feels less durable and bulkier compared to previous models like Pixel Buds, which may affect pocketability.
- •Noise cancellation can feel slightly uncomfortable in very quiet or busy environments due to the strong isolation.
- •Switching Bluetooth connections between devices can be inconsistent, sometimes connecting instantly and other times requiring manual intervention.
- •The rubber around the earbud can rotate and disrupt the magnetic charging connection occasionally.
- •Noise cancellation makes outdoor sports potentially unsafe as it blocks critical environmental sounds.
- •Charging case takes longer than expected to fully charge despite wireless charging support.
- •Some users find the battery life, while solid, could be better relative to the price point and competitors.
- •Earbuds require a secure press to avoid pausing due to sensors, which might be a minor annoyance for some.
