TLDR Review: BOG DeathGrip Realtree Excape Tripod
Verdict
The BOG DeathGrip Realtree Excape Camo Tripod is a rugged, versatile, and stable shooting platform designed for serious outdoorsmen who value stability and multiple shooting position options over ultra-lightweight gear. While the initial setup involves a bit of fiddling with a hidden adjustment screw to smooth out the head movement, once tuned, it delivers excellent performance and hands-free convenience. If you want a tripod that doubles as a robust accessory platform and holds up under rough conditions, this is a solid pick — just be ready to carry a bit of extra weight and bring your own 5mm Allen wrench. If ease of setup and lighter weight are your top priorities, you might want to explore other hunting tripods, but for those who need durability and versatility, the DeathGrip is well worth the investment.
- Top pro:

- Top con:
- Initial head panning movement is very tight and not smooth out of the box, requiring loosening a hidden 5mm adjustment screw under a rubber plug, which is not clearly documented.
