TLDR Review: Bltend Golf Mat 5x4ft
Verdict
The Bltend Golf Mat 36mm Thickened is a heavy-duty, large, and well-constructed hitting mat that delivers a realistic driving range feel for both beginners and seasoned players practicing at home or in simulators. Its thickness and size provide excellent comfort and protection, but be prepared for some hassle flattening the mat and securing it firmly on certain surfaces. If you want a professional-grade mat without breaking the bank and don’t mind investing in longer tees or extra flattening effort, this is a solid choice. However, if you prioritize a perfectly flat surface out of the box or need a mat that works seamlessly with automated launch systems, you might want to explore alternatives.
- Top pro:
- Thick 36mm turf provides a professional driving range feel and good protection for arms and clubs.
- Top con:
- The mat doesn’t lay completely flat at the ends and tends to roll slightly, which can affect ball roll and requires extra caution.

- •Flattening the mat after unrolling can be tricky; even with instructions and weights, it takes time and effort to get it smooth without damage.
- •Included rubber tees are too short for driver shots, forcing buyers to purchase longer tees separately.
- •On smooth or gritty concrete floors, the mat can shift or slide slightly during use, necessitating sticky tape or weights to secure it.
- •Not ideal for use with automatic ball dispensers or certain launch monitors due to its shape and the slight curl at edges.
- •Some users reported the need to re-glue the turf after several months of use, questioning durability over longer periods.
