TLDR Review: Bernzomatic UL2317 Torch Head
Verdict
The Bernzomatic Basic Use UL2317 Brass Pencil Flame Propane Torch Head is a solid choice if you need a precise, pencil-tip propane torch for detailed work and can master the finicky ignition technique. Its durability and flame control make it versatile for soldering and jewelry tasks. However, buyer beware: quality control issues and lack of return options mean you might end up with a defective unit and little support. If you want more reliability or easier ignition, consider looking at other Bernzomatic models or torch heads that include built-in igniters and clearer instructions. For basic-use propane torch heads with similar versatility but possibly better ignition reliability, exploring those options might save you some headaches.
