TLDR Review: ASUS ROG Ally
Verdict
The ASUS ROG Ally - 7" FHD IPS is a compelling device for gaming on the go, offering strong performance and a vivid display. However, be prepared for potential setup challenges and additional costs, especially if located in the US due to mismatched cables. Also, consider the price difference to MSRP before making a purchase. Its lack of USB ports may deter those needing extensive peripheral connectivity, where alternatives like the Steam Deck might be worth a look for better compatibility.
- Top pro:
- Highly rated as a best seller with positive reception from international customers.
- Top con:
- Significant markup from MSRP, with some noting a $200 difference.
