TLDR Review: Arm & Hammer Cage Liners for Small Animals
Verdict
If you're a guinea pig, hamster, or rabbit owner looking to drastically reduce cage odor and simplify cleaning, the *Arm & Hammer Super-Absorbent Cage Liners* deliver excellent absorbency and durability packed into a convenient size. They shine in small cages and travel setups, though their smaller size means you'll want to buy enough to keep up with replacements during regular use. If you have a larger habitat or a chewer like a chinchilla, you might need to consider supplementary bedding strategies or look for liners made specifically for bigger cages. Overall, these cage liners are a must-have for hassle-free odor control and cage maintenance that pet owners keep coming back for.
- Top pro:
- Highly effective at reducing urine smell in guinea pig and other small animal cages for extended periods.
- Top con:
- Pads are somewhat small, which means multiple liners are needed to cover even minimum-sized guinea pig cages.
Pros

- •Helps maintain a dry cage floor and improves overall hygiene, which guinea pig owners consistently appreciate.
- •Durable and of good quality, often lasting longer than traditional puppy pads tried by users.
- •Pads work well under bedding like aspen, which also helps deter animals from chewing the liners.
- •Ideal for travel cages by providing a clean, absorbent, and comfortable surface, especially when folded inside fleece.
- •Relatively easy to use and encourages repeat purchases due to consistent performance.
- •Sized appropriately for small cages, fitting cage bases well and offering a neat appearance.

Cons
- •Pads are somewhat small, which means multiple liners are needed to cover even minimum-sized guinea pig cages.
- •Limited quantity per box (7 count) means frequent repurchasing, with some users going through 2 boxes a month for regular maintenance.
- •Requires replacement every couple of days to maintain best odor control and hygiene.
- •Chinchillas (and potentially other chewers) may shred the pads if placed directly under shavings, limiting usability for some pets.
- •May not be ideal for larger habitats due to size and quantity limitations.
- •No larger size options currently available, which some users wish for to reduce the need for multiple pads.
