TLDR Review: Aqueon Plant and Shrimp Substrate
Verdict
The Aqueon Plant and Shrimp Aquarium Substrate is an excellent choice for aquarists seeking a durable, attractive, and user-friendly option for their tanks. While it's inert and requires some supplementation for plant growth, its benefits, including maintaining water clarity and supporting beneficial bacteria, make it a highly regarded choice in the aquarium community. Plan accordingly with size needs for larger tanks, as this small bag isn’t sufficient for setups beyond a 10-15 gallon tank. Overall, it offers a beneficial environment for aquatic plants and shrimp, enhancing both form and function in an aquarium setup.
