TLDR Review: Apple AirTag 2 Pack
Verdict
If you're deeply entrenched in the Apple ecosystem and want a budget-friendly, reliable tracker for your everyday items or pets, the 2 Pack Air Tracker Tag is a smart choice with its easy setup, decent tracking range, and waterproof benefits. However, keep in mind its shorter battery life and the lack of ultra-precise "find nearby" features found in some pricier models. For those seeking more precision or cross-platform compatibility, considering alternatives might be wise, but for iOS users who want straightforward and effective tracking, this product hits the mark nicely.
- Top pro:
- Very easy and quick to set up and pair with Apple devices using the Find My app.
- Top con:
- Battery life is relatively short and may require more frequent charging or replacement than some users expect.
Pros
- •Very easy and quick to set up and pair with Apple devices using the Find My app.
- •Works perfectly for tracking a variety of items such as keys, pets, wallets, backpacks, and luggage.
- •Offers reliable and accurate location tracking, especially useful up to around 25 feet.
- •Loud beeps help in easily locating lost items.
- •Great value for the price compared to some premium alternatives.
- •Apple MFi certification ensures good compatibility and security within the Apple ecosystem.
- •Helpful and responsive customer service reported by some users.
- •Suitable for keeping track of multiple items efficiently, making organization simpler.
- •Waterproof design adds a layer of durability, useful for outdoor use and pets who roam.
- •Widely useful for travel and outdoor scenarios like camping or monitoring golf carts.
Cons
- •Battery life is relatively short and may require more frequent charging or replacement than some users expect.
- •Does not feature the “find nearby” precision that some competitor trackers offer for ultra-close range locating.
- •Some confusion around waterproof claims; although advertised waterproof, verification on depth and duration is unclear to some users.
- •Limited to iOS devices due to Apple Find My compatibility, not suitable for Android users.
- •Location updates rely on Bluetooth, so tracking accuracy decreases significantly when the device is far from any Apple device.
