TLDR Review: Alesis Melody 61 Keyboard
Verdict
If you're just starting out and want an affordable, portable keyboard with basic features for learning and casual practice, the Alesis Melody 61 is a solid choice. It’s easy to set up, comes with a full beginner’s package, and offers enough sounds and lessons to get you going. However, it doesn’t support advanced expressive playing or professional-grade features. For a more dynamic and expressive experience, you might want to consider a model with touch-sensitive keys or better sound quality, like the <component-button-product identifier="12345-67890">Casio Privia PX-S1000</component-button-product> which offers more nuanced control and higher fidelity sound.
