🟢 How to Track Auto-Buy Purchases with Live Activities

When ShopSavvy on iPhone places an Auto-Buy order, it starts a Live Activity so you can watch the purchase happen without opening the app — on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, and as a glanceable status.

What You'll See

The Live Activity shows:

• The product image and title
• The retailer the order is being placed at
• The original price and the price you're paying
• A live status message — "Submitting order…", "Order placed at Best Buy", and similar updates as the purchase progresses

On a Dynamic Island iPhone, the activity also pops up in the cutout — tap and hold to expand it without unlocking the phone.

How It Works

1. Set up Auto-Buy on a watched product (see the help article on Auto-Buy on mobile).
2. When the price drops to your target at a participating retailer, ShopSavvy starts the purchase automatically.
3. The Live Activity appears immediately on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
4. You'll see status updates until the order is confirmed — typically under a minute.
5. Once confirmed, the activity ends and a final notification lands in Notification Center.

Tips

• Live Activities for ShopSavvy require iOS 16.1 or later.
• If you don't see the activity, check Settings → ShopSavvy → Live Activities is enabled.
• The Lock Screen widget for watched products is separate — that one shows price and alert status all the time, not just during purchases.
• You can dismiss the activity at any moment by swiping it away — the purchase keeps running in the background and you'll still get a confirmation notification.
