So, when it comes to comfort, the Retevis Adjustable Throat Mic seems to have tried to make things pretty adaptable. The adjustable throat section is supposed to fit different neck sizes, which is something the manufacturer points out. This should help make it more comfortable, especially if you're planning to wear it for a while—like on a motorcycle ride or while working in security.
But here's where things get a bit mixed. Our research shows that the performance has had some ups and downs. Some folks mentioned that the volume can be lower than expected on both the mic and earpiece, even at full blast. Because it uses throat vibrations instead of the usual method, the sound clarity might not be as crisp as traditional mics. If you need really high-quality audio, especially for professional use, you might want to consider this.
As for the build and sound quality, it's a bit of a mixed bag, too. While some found it works well in certain scenarios, others weren't impressed with the build quality or sound transmission. If these aspects are important to you, you might want to look around at other options. The manufacturer's details and what we've found suggest checking out different models, maybe even some other Retevis versions that could be a better fit.
In a nutshell, the Retevis throat mic could be comfy for many because of its adjustability.
But it's good to weigh this against the mixed reviews about sound quality and build, especially if you need it for situations requiring top-notch audio. It might be worth exploring other models if that sounds like a better fit for what you need.
