Setting up the Fellowes PrivaScreen Privacy Filter on your 22-inch widescreen monitor is pretty straightforward, according to our research. This filter is made for screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio and attaches easily—no tools or sticky adhesives needed. It's user-friendly, which is great if you're not a fan of complicated setups.
The manufacturer highlights its black-out technology, which keeps your screen dark when viewed from the side. This is handy if you're often working in public or shared spaces and want to keep your info away from prying eyes.
Before you get started, just measure your screen to ensure the dimensions—18-5/8 inches by 11-5/8 inches—fit well. Once attached, you can flip it to the matte side to cut down on glare, which is useful if you work in bright areas.
Our research shows that it's effective at maintaining privacy from side views, and it's generally praised for keeping side-view snoopers at bay. Just a heads-up: it may dim the screen a bit, mainly around the edges, so you might need to adjust your monitor's brightness for the best view if that's a concern.
It’s good at blocking views from the sides, but watch your back—it might not completely block views from behind, depending on your setup. Overall, if you need to keep your screen confidential from folks nearby, this filter should help. Just keep an eye on those angles.
All in all, it offers an easy installation process and solid privacy features. If you’re after a simple solution to enhance screen privacy from side angles, it’s worth considering.
