Comparing the DJI Osmo Mobile 6 to the older models can be a bit of a mixed bag, especially when you look at its panorama features.
Our research shows that the Osmo Mobile 6 is really praised for its great stabilization and simple design, which is perfect if you're just starting out or don't need all the bells and whistles. But if you're really into taking full panoramic photos, the 270-degree panorama on this model might not quite cut it. Some other gimbals out there can do the full 360-degree thing, which could be a dealbreaker if that's what you're after.
Our research also points out that this limitation disappoints some folks who were hoping for the panoramic experience older models or products like the Hohem iSteady M6 offer. The Hohem is often mentioned for its wider range and solid battery life, which could sync better with a need for those sweeping, all-encompassing shots.
That said, if you're cool with a 270-degree panorama, the Osmo Mobile 6 shouldn't be written off. It’s made for stable, easy-to-capture footage and the manufacturer describes it as having a great balance between high-end stabilization and easy-to-use controls. It's a good fit for vloggers or those who want something they can set up quickly.
In the end, picking between the Osmo Mobile 6 and other models really depends on what you're looking to get from your videos. If awesome stabilization and ease of use top your list, the Osmo Mobile 6 is a strong contender.
But if panoramas are a big part of what you do, you might want to check out options with 360-degree capability. It's all about finding what clicks with your creativity or work needs.
