The Fellowes PrivaScreen Privacy Filter is meant to keep your screen private from people peeking from the sides, which is great if you're handling sensitive information. According to the manufacturer's description, it uses black-out technology to make the screen visible only to those sitting right in front of it. This can be pretty helpful in offices or public spots.
From our research, people find it easy to put on and take off—no tools needed—which is a bonus. Plus, it has a reversible side that can reduce glare, which is nice if you're in a bright room. It's also environmentally friendly, as you can fully recycle it.
Now, about how it affects your screen’s brightness: some folks have said it just sort of dims the screen a little without causing any issues, while others felt it made the screen quite a bit darker, which might affect clarity. So, experiences seem to vary.
You might need to adjust your monitor’s angle or ensure the filter is flat against the screen to get the best result and prevent blurring.
Overall, if you need something to block those side glances, the Fellowes PrivaScreen could be worth trying out—just keep an eye on how much it changes the screen brightness for you.
