Yeah, you can definitely get YouTube Kids on the Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro tablet, though it's not super straightforward because it's not pre-installed or directly available through the Amazon Appstore.
But don't worry, there are a couple of ways to make it happen.
One approach is to sideload the app, which means you're manually adding it since it's not available in the native app store. To do this, you'll need to install the Google Play Store on your tablet first. Here's a quick overview of how you can do that:
-
Allow App Installations from Unknown Sources: Head to 'Settings' > 'Security & Privacy,' then enable 'Apps from Unknown Sources.'
-
Grab the Necessary APKs: You’ll need to download a few APK files from reliable sources for Google Play services and the Play Store.
-
Install the APKs in Sequence: Make sure you install these files in the right order.
-
Use the Google Play Store: Once it's set up, you can use the Google Play Store to download YouTube Kids.
If you want detailed steps, it's a good idea to look up guides online specific to your device, as the process might slightly vary depending on your Fire OS version.
Alternatively, you can use the Silk Browser, which is already on the tablet. Through it, you can access YouTube Kids directly on their website. It's not the full app experience, but it's a quick way to watch videos.
Our research shows that many parents have successfully used these methods to expand the app options beyond what's available on Amazon's Appstore. Just keep an eye on what your child is watching and their screen time, as it's always a good idea to ensure a safe online environment.
Hope this helps you get YouTube Kids up and running on your tablet. It can be a handy tool for your child's learning and entertainment needs!
