The phil&teds Lobster Clip-On Highchair is pretty adaptable and can latch onto tables that are between 0.8 inches and 3.75 inches thick. This coverage makes it suitable for many types of dining setups. However, it's not a perfect fit for every table, as our research indicates.
The manufacturer recommends avoiding use on certain kinds of tables—like those with glass tops, loose tops, leaves, single pedestals, or those with rounded or beveled edges or lips. These features can mess with the chair's clamp, making it difficult to get a secure grip, which is definitely something you want to avoid for safety reasons.
One of the neat things about this highchair is its portability. It's light and comes with a compact carry bag—perfect if you're often on the go or like eating out where traditional highchairs might not work so well. We've found that it's really handy for travel and eating out.
From what we’ve seen, people generally like how it fits their usual dining setups and appreciate the comfort and elevated seating for their kids. But, some folks find the clamp doesn't always work with every table style when dining out—so that’s something to consider.
Bottom line: make sure to check if the tables you use regularly at home or your favorite spots out and about will work with this highchair. Doing a quick measurement can save you hassle later and ensure safety.
If your usual tables are compatible, this could be a great option for you to take along on your travels or dining adventures.
