If you're wondering about the retrieval speed of the MegaMouth 2.0 Bowfishing Reel, it manages to bring in about 28 inches of line with each crank. According to our research, that's pretty speedy compared to other reels out there. It really helps when you want to quickly gain control after a catch.
The reel itself is built pretty tough, with its dual stainless steel and brass gearing, which is great for those bigger fish. The manufacturer mentions it has this nifty buttonless FreeWheel design that makes it safer by preventing accidental releases during a shot.
It also has a quick-adjust drag system that lets you tweak the settings as you need.
One thing to keep in mind is it weighs around 2.4 pounds, which might be a bit on the heavier side. But, from a durability standpoint, it's because of those sturdy materials.
All in all, if you're looking for something reliable and fast, this American-made reel seems to tick those boxes, especially if you're serious about bowfishing.
