The ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD5) is said to cover up to 5000 sq. ft., according to the manufacturer's description. This could cover five or more rooms with its WiFi 6 tech. So, if you're trying to blanket your house with WiFi, it seems like a pretty good option. Just keep in mind that how well it actually works can vary depending on things like your home's layout and any obstacles.
From what we found, setting it up is pretty easy. The ASUS Router app plays a big role in simplifying the process, which is a plus if you don't want a complicated setup. Once it’s up and running, many folks say they get stable connections and good speeds, even with a bunch of devices hooked up.
There are a few things to watch out for, though. Some people mentioned that devices might not always switch to the strongest signal when you move around the house, which can be a little annoying. Additionally, unless you tweak some settings, the satellites mainly connect back to the main node. This might limit how you can set it up, especially in bigger or more complicated houses.
So, overall, the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD5) offers good coverage and performance, but it has its quirks. To get the best out of it, you might need to think a bit about where you place the nodes and keep the system updated.
If you have a large or complicated space, adding more nodes or customizing the setup might help get everything running smoothly.
