Setting up the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD5) mesh system is usually pretty straightforward, especially with the help of the ASUS Router app.

The manufacturer mentions that it's made to cover spaces up to 5000 square feet, which is great for larger homes. Our data shows that many folks find the initial setup simple and appreciate the solid connection afterward.

The app really helps make the process easier. It has an intuitive interface that's accessible even for people who aren't super tech-savvy. Plus, its support for VPN services is a nice touch for anyone worried about security and privacy.

On the flip side, you should be aware of a few potential hiccups. Some people have run into issues during setup, especially after firmware updates. Problems like keeping a stable mesh connection or getting nodes to work smoothly can pop up, particularly in bigger homes or tricky layouts.

Sometimes, nodes don't switch over properly or fail to connect in a way that could lead to coverage gaps. Additionally, a few have mentioned trouble with technical support and node connectivity limits, which suggests that while the system is meant to be seamless, you might need some troubleshooting for optimal performance.

In a nutshell, the ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD5) is a solid option if you're looking to beef up your home WiFi coverage.

Just keep in mind that experiences can vary, and it helps to think about your home setup in advance. Being prepared for some possible troubleshooting could make sure you get the most out of your mesh system.
